Information Collection and UseInformation Collection Contact UsWe collect contact information such as your name, email address, and mailing address to be able to respond to support requests and to verify your registration status as a member of the Northern Star Council. eCommercewww.GoScouting.org provides eCommerce for the sole purpose of reserving space at camping programs offered by Northern Star Council, BSA. Electronic payment functions are restricted to users who have been granted login rights to restricted areas of this site by Northern Star Council or its designees. Collection of payment informaiton is transmitted to a third-party payment processing agency for the sole purpose of completing financial transactions. Northern Star Council does not store payment account information as part of this process. Attendance InformationNorthern Star Council may collect information about participants registering for the programs offered thorugh this site. Information is collected for the purpose of attendance requirement verification. Attendance information collection areas are restricted to users who have been granted login rights to restricted areas of this site by Northern Star Council or its designees. Information UseInformation is collected only to be able to respond to inquiries or requests or verify eligibility as outlined in this statement. These include one-time responses to user requests for information or to send requested email communications. We collect mailing addresses to verify membership status in Northern Star Council. CookiesA cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. If a user requests deletion, all information will be removed from the site's database. Correcting, updating or deleting users' personally identifiable information can be done while logged into the site and updating your profile or by emailing our Customer Support at or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below. If a parent believes that their child has submitted information to the site, they can contact the site administrator at for joincubs.com or for northernstarbsa.org to have their child's information deleted from the site's database.
